Hello, thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  My name is Veronica, I am an Integrative Therapist based in Bedlington, Northumberland.  Please take a look around and feel free to contact me to find out more about myself and how I work.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, mixed up with no-one to talk to? 

 

We all have times in our lives where we struggle to cope with life’s challenges: Bereavement, Divorce and Redundancy to name a few.  We may feel out of control and experience Stress, Anxiety, Depression or Anger which puts blocks in our way and holds us back.  Therapy, whether Counselling or Hypnotherapy, can help to remove these blocks.

Do you long for things to change but don’t know where to begin?


Therapy can support you to take your first steps toward change and on a journey of self-discovery.  It provides time and space to explore and make sense of your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and reactions to situations.  Through understanding yourself you can take control and make positive changes enabling you to move forward with your life.  Given the support and space to discover your strengths and develop resources you can overcome your difficulties. 

Therapy can help if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • loss, grief or separation

  • feeling lonely, anxious, depressed, sad, worried, angry or fearful

  • have low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence or feel worthless

  • difficulty with relationships: partners, family, friends, colleagues

  • feeling that life itself is no longer fulfilling

We are used to taking care of our physical health, eating well, exercising, and going to the doctor when we have a problem with our physical health or we don’t feel well.  Why should we treat our mental health any differently?

You can get in touch with me by email or phone.  I offer the option of a free initial telephone call to introduce myself and get an idea of how we can work together to achieve your goals.

What happens in therapy?

 

Once you have decided that you want to go ahead with therapy and I am the right therapist for you,  we will arrange an initial session.  This  allows us to get to know each other and the difficulties you are facing.  This will help you to establish what you want to achieve. 

 

After this if you think therapy is for you, we will then book a series of sessions, usually on a weekly or fortnightly basis.  I will devise a programme to meet your individual needs whether this be counselling or hypnotherapy or a combination of both.  It really all depends upon you and what you want, need and feel comfortable with.  

 

We will regularly review our work together and discuss how your needs are being met, the progress made and what you need from our time together to move forward. 

 

Life is a journey

The journey won't always be straight and smooth

There may be obstacles to overcome

These may require you to take risks, face fears and to make choices

Overcoming these obstacles enriches your life with knowledge, wisdom, confidence and pride in yourself

And leads you to new opportunities and experiences
